Elizabeth Nance Photography, catching life moments
I am Elizabeth, the face behind the camera of Elizabeth Nance Photography. I started my photography career at age 12. While I was watching my oldest brother play football, I asked my mom if I could take pictures of him playing with her point and shoot camera. She willing obliged & noticed (in her words) "I took better pictures than she did". Since then, my mom has passed on all family photography to me, but I love it. Being the only girl and trying to keep up with two older brothers and one younger has been busy and fun. I have been blessed to have had a camera in my hands ever since that Friday night in November.
Over the last few years I have worked many events. Events are fun because you see a snapshot of a community and group. Some of my event sessions have been with: the City of Vestavia Hills, B-Metro Magazine, Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church, Vestavia Hills High School, The Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's, The Vestavia Hills Magazine, and the Birmingham Alumnae Panhellenic.
I love to document life moments! Baby reveals, prom, graduation, mother-daughter teas, and weddings have been captured through my lens, and I have been blessed to share in those times with these families through my camera. The city of Birmingham is beautiful and diverse in its varied places to have family and individual photography sessions. I have had personal sessions in several locations : Sybil Temple and McCallum Park in Vestavia Hills, Samford University, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and Morris Avenue in historic downtown Birmingham.
My goal is to never stop learning and to become the best photographer I can be. I love every second behind my camera because through my lens I catch precious life moments.
Don't miss the sampling of my work on the galleries pages of my website, and you can always check my ShootProof site to see if there are any public galleries from different events I have photographed.
